There was a moment when Enkh-Erdene stood on the AGT: Fantasy League stage, and we wondered if he could pull off a Country music classic. The signing sensation from Mongolia, who does not speak or understand English, admitted behind the scenes to Heidi Klum through a translator that he gets nervous on stage. But when Enkh-Erdene hit the first note, everyone’s jaws dropped, including all of the judges — except for Klum, who knew her incredible Dream Team pick would ace the performance and difficult notes of the song.
What song did Enkh-Erdene Sing?
Enkh-Erdene chose Garth Brooks’ number one hit, “Friends in Low Places,” from his album No Fences, an emotional song about lost love. With his deep, smooth voice and calm demeanor, handling the wide vocal range of “Friends in Low Places” was hardly an obstacle — despite the language barrier. He stunned audiences with his spot-on rendition, even down to the exact tone and Southern drawl of the original, bringing a genuine authenticity that the audience found infectious. As Klum donned a shiny silver cowboy hat, everyone started to sway and clap along.
After the performance, the judges heaped praise on the Mongolian Country crooner. Though Klum nabbed him first, Simon Cowell admitted he wanted Enkh-Erdene for his own Dream Team and did not hold back on the compliments: “Your tone is stunning, absolutely stunning. I loved this performance.”
Meanwhile, Mel B suggested he should go acapella in the next round, and we can’t think of a better way for the singer to showcase his incredible voice.
Was this Enkh-Erdene’s first Country song?
Turns out, this was not Enkh-Erdene's first rodeo — with country music or competition shows. The Mongolia’s Got Talent crooner clearly has a deep love for the genre, rolling back the years to cover some of the most iconic country songs of all time.
As a contestant on The Voice of Mongolia, he chose the 1955 B-side “Sixteen Tons” by Tennessee Ernie Ford. He’s also popped up on YouTube tackling Elvis’s famous ballad, “Can’t Help Falling in Love,” and John Denver’s “Take Me Home, Country Roads,” belting out lyrics like “West Virginia, mountain momma” with uncanny accuracy.
On his very first visit to the U.S. in 2019, he sang in front of none other than Faith Hill on the competition show The World’s Best, turning in a memorable cover of the cowboy anthem, “Amarillo by Morning” by George Strait. That night, to commemorate the event, he released his first original single, the country ballad “Wake Up With You.”

All about Enkh-Erdene winning Mongolia’s Got Talent
His performance in front of Faith Hill wasn’t the first time he sang “Amarillo by Morning.” In 2016, Enkh-Erdene sailed through the auditions of Mongolia's Got Talent with that same song, immediately establishing himself as a force to be reckoned. In the semi-finals, he stole the spotlight again — and won the competition — with a soulful original inspired by the song “Feeling Good” by Michael Blubé, complete with go-go dancers and a horn section. The win catapulted him to international fame, and his videos have since gained millions of views on YouTube.
On AGT: Fantasy League, the modest singer said his "biggest dream is to become a star known worldwide." We'd wager he's well on his way.
