Google has initiated a collaboration in reducing traffic congestion in Ulaanbaatar city and organized a meeting to discuss this initiative.

Google previously cooperated with 10 cities around the world, including Hamburg, Jakarta, Abu Dhabi, and Bangalore to reduce traffic congestion. Using real-time data and artificial intelligence based on user information, Google aims to optimize urban traffic management. Ulaanbaatar city will be the 11th city to collaborate with Google on the traffic management software project, officially called Project Green Light.

Governor of the Capital City of Mongolia Nyambaatar Khishgee stated, "The work on connecting 170 intersections in Ulaanbaatar city to a unified surveillance camera system will be completed by November 1, 2024. In addition, we have reached an agreement with Google to introduce AI technology for centralized management of these 170 intersections."

The Public Relations and Communication Department of the Governor's Office of the Capital City reported that the parties agreed to form a Working Group to introduce the AI technology and that the Capital City officials expressed commitment to strengthening the cooperation between the two parties.
