Tungalag Tamir by Lodoidamba Chadraabal is now available in French

Under the policy of promoting and disseminating the finest works of Mongolian literature internationally and promoting the national culture of Mongolia, the novel Tungalag Tamir [Crystal Clear Tamir River], one of the masterpieces of the 20th century, by Lodoidamba Chadraabal, a two-time State Prize Laureate of Mongolia, has been translated into the French language.

Tiffen Kann, a French Mongolist and doctoral candidate, has translated Tungalag Tamir [La Tamir aux eaux limpides] into French. She has also begun translating the novel Uuriin Tuya by Rinchen Byamba, a leading 20th-century Mongolian scholar. The first copies of the newly published French edition of Tungalag Tamir were presented to distinguished guests and donated to libraries during the "Investment-Cooperation" Cultural and Creative Industry Forum, held in Mongolia on November 28, 2024.

Within the framework of Mongolia's long-term development policy, "Vision 2050," active efforts are underway in Mongolia to foster national pride and unity through statehood traditions, history, cultural heritage, literature, and art.
